Yesterday was an amazing day. My buddy Dustin Miller brought his fancy french super 16 camera over and we shot a video for “Mustard Seed.” Everything went perfectly. Perfect weather, perfect location, and the perfect cast. We had over 26 people out for the shoot. Thank you so much to everyone involved. The film was dropped off today in Orlando and now we wait nervously.  Click here to see more photos of the shoot and keep checking back for more updates.

I would like to introduce you to the new EP, “Needs A Little Water.” On the surface, its 3 songs that I recorded with my buddies in Atlanta. But more than that, it feels like a vista point on the way to where this whole thing (my life) is going. Where that is, I still have no clue. “Damion Suomi: Self Titled” was released last March and the following months have been a whirlwind of touring, traveling, bar tending, bad food, good people, broken guitar-strings, LA, a move, and a new job. Now, “Needs A Little Water” is about catching your breath and reflecting: 2009 was a learning year. How to tour, how to cope, how to change, how to sell albums (still unknown), and how to fit 4 people, with equipment, in a Ford Ranger pick-up truck. I want to take a moment to thank the people that have helped this happen. The people who have bought the album and played it for their friends. The ones who have sent e-mails and made phone calls to tell me what it means to them. The ones that have played with me, sang with me, and the ones who believe in me. I am humbled and eternally grateful. I suppose the only real goal at this point is to keep going. Keep singing, keep writing, keep touring. Thank you for listening, following, and believing in me. I hope to see you very soon. -Damion
The new EP is now available for pre-order on iTunes (release date is December 1) and it’s only $1.99. I’ve added two of the three new songs (titled “Mustard Seed” and “Burn the Pain”) to my MySpace so you can preview them until the EP is available.
You can also download the EP now, at PisforPanda.com.

So we ended up in New Symrna Beach last week. To be honest with you, I was a little bummed when I got there. Being from Cocoa Beach it just felt like another beach town. Bars, surf shops, and restaurants, but it ended up being the best night of our 4 day run. Great crowd, nice staff, band played great, and they went nutso for Joey Cape. Here are some shots of us from that night. Thanks to Aaron Marinel for sending the pics.
